Last year when I decided to buy a new car I had to consider all of the possibilities. What features did I need? How about that gas mileage? Should I find one with a sleek look, or one that was practical for getting around the city? I didn’t have too much time to make a final decision, but I knew I had to check out a few models. Choosing the right business school will make you stop and wonder in the same way. What are you really looking for?

We offer you an opportunity to come “kick the tires” and “test drive” the life of a student when you visit us for one of our Chicago Booth Live events. These all-day Friday events give you a chance take an up close and personal look at our program, explore the Booth culture, and see what happens day to day at the Harper Center.

Chicago Booth Live begins with a welcome from a member of the admissions committee who will introduce the Full-Time MBA program. Throughout the day, you will spend time with currents students, including a panel where you can get their perspective on classes, recruiting, our faculty, and life both at Booth and in the city of Chicago. The day includes a classroom experience led by our faculty so you can see how the students collaborate as they face the challenges presented to them in the classroom. You’ll take part in a Q&A with the admissions team before you end the day unwinding and mingling with the students at the popular weekly Liquidity Preference Function (LPF) happy hour in our Winter Garden. You may even want to explore the building take a look at our renown contemporary art collection. By the end of the day you should have a pretty good idea of the community and will be able to tell if this could be the right “model” for you. The next Chicago Booth Live will be Friday, October 11. Check our website for more information on how to register and to view a schedule of the day’s events.

If you can’t devote an entire Friday to your test drive, we invite you to  take advantage of the regular Campus Visit Program to visit a class in session, join an admissions information session, have lunch with students, and enjoy a tour of the Harper Center. You can participate in all of the sessions offered that day, or just those that fit your schedule.

Our goal is to help you experience everything that you need to know as you make your decision on one of the most important phases of your career. If you can’t visit campus, take advantage of the many other opportunities to engage with us – live chats, country captains, The Booth Experience, and worldwide events, just to name a few. These are equally great ways to interact with our community and better understand the culture, values, and student experience at Booth.
All the best,
