Darden recently announced that it will open new facilities in the Washington, D.C., area. The dynamic space, housed on the top two floors of a modern high-rise in the Rosslyn district of Arlington, Virginia, boasts expansive views of the capital region and includes classrooms, offices and event space, opening up a world of new opportunities for the University of Virginia and for the Darden School’s Executive MBA (EMBA) and Executive Education programs in the D.C. area.

This new space is representative of the growth of the EMBA and Executive Education programs. In 2016, Darden dramatically expanded the reach of its EMBA program, which includes an intensive Global Executive MBA format, when it welcomed the first cohort of the new Rosslyn section. This past August, nearly 70 new students joined the Rosslyn EMBA section for the 2017–18 academic year. When asked, Brett Twitty, Director of Admissions for Executive Formats, responded:

Having a world-class facility in the DC area is an incredibly exciting development for our executive format students, but also for Darden generally. The past two years for our Executive MBA Program have been filled with highlights, and the executive formats of the Darden MBA have never been more popular. As a program, we have a tremendous amount of momentum, and the launch of this new space is the latest reflection of this trajectory.
